This little gem is a light-filled cafe with rustic-chic charm and serves their creative brunch dishes on a sprawling terrace. Dedicated to sourcing the highest grade, naturally-grown local produce it is the Roadhouse’s belief that we thrive through sustainable farming and consuming nourishing, organic wholefoods and elixirs. Check this one out for sure – it is a definite must!

The ever so popular Three Blue Ducks crew have done it again opening their second outpost at The Farm in Byron Bay – a 32 hectare property that is designed to grow, feed and educate the community. Like its sister cafe that neighbours Cali Press in Bronte Sydney, Three Blue Ducks is all about honest food that is sourced sustainably. There’s a playground for the kids, a foraging trail and plenty of picnic spots making it very difficult to get up and leave!

Held on the first Sunday of every month, the Byron Markets offer a vast array of handcrafted wares, locally grown produce and artworks of every kind. Enjoy listening to some great bands while enjoying delicious food. Plenty for the kiddies to do, including candle making, face painting and tie dying. It’s best to get there early and allow a few hours to take in all the stalls, indulge in some fresh food and be wowed by this colourful spectacle!

BYRON BEACHES

If secluded stretches of sand and turquoise water is more your scene then not to worry, we have you covered with our favourite beach spots to hit up while visiting the Bay.

Wategos Beach

While this beach is a bit more buzzing you’ll still be amazed by Wategos crystal clear water and stunning views of the Byron Bay Lighthouse (our favourite). Whether you picnic, paddle or play you’ll love the peaceful beauty of this sheltered beach and if you’re lucky you may even catch the local bottlenose dolphins showing off some surfing skills!

Whites Beach

This little Oasis is fairly secluded but is definitely worth the extra effort.

To get there, take the national park turnoff at Broken Head and continue until you reach a sign for Whites Beach. You’ll need to walk down a steep forest track to get onto the beach, but what meets you there will take your breath away. And even though the secret is out you’ll still find it almost totally secluded (most of the time).

BYRON BLISS

There’s still plenty to do out of the sun in the bay and Byron is a mecca for holistic and natural treatments.

Unwind and unclutter the mind with a calming yoga or pilates class in one of the many studios or even down on the beach. Some of our favourite studios to visit are the ‘Byron Yoga Centre’ and ‘The Studio Byron Bay’. If you’re keen for something a little more scenic, enjoy spectacular coastal views along the Cape Byron walking track that takes you on a hike through rainforest, beach, grassland and clifftops straight to the famous lighthouse.

If physical activity isn’t what you’re after then delight the senses with a therapeutic massage. Try the ‘Be Salon & Spa’ or the ‘Buddha Gardens Day Spa’ for an afternoon of pure bliss. Alternatively, you can indulge in a guided meditation with an enlightening tarot card reading – a practice that has become a popular pastime in the bay.

No matter what you get up to during your day in the bay, we’re sure you’ll keep going back for more!
